The Mielie Lady

by | Dec 4, 2014 | Johannesburg, Tours | 4 comments

I’m not feeling motivated enough for a full-on post today. So I thought I’d share a photo I took last weekend on a walking tour of Sophiatown, portraying Selina the mielie lady.

Sophiatown Mielies

Selina, the Sophiatown mielie lady.

I don’t need to tell you about Sophiatown because I’ve blogged about it before, a long time ago. I don’t need to tell you about mielies and mielie ladies because I’ve blogged about them before too, an even longer time ago. So I’ll let the photo speak for itself.

Also, I’ve received some reports lately that the “comment” and “contact me” features on my blog aren’t working for everyone. I apologize to anyone who has tried to comment or to send me a message — we’re working on it. In the meantime, feel free to send me a comment or message through Facebook or Twitter.

Here’s my message to you: MEEEEE-LEEEEES!
