Thorsten and I went for lunch with our friend Bongani at Zani Eatery in Katlehong. The burgers, fries, and wings are fantastic.

I visited the Thokoza Memorial, a tribute to the people who died in political violence between the ANC and IFP parties in the 1990s.

Last weekend I participated in the first-ever #SpazaShopTour in Katlehong and Thokoza. I think it was the beginning of something amazing.

With my friends from the African Accent Spaza Shop, I'm helping to organize the first-ever Spaza Shop Tour in Katlehong and Thokoza.

On Saturday I visited the African Accent spaza shop in Katlehong, to meet owner Bongani and his wife Bongi. It was the best day of lockdown so far.

A few of my writer friends started a creative writing program in Katlehong called Katlehong Stories. Just a few months later, the group is making big news.
